Getting value from Defendis takes just a few minutes. Here’s what to do after you sign in for the first time.
Secure your account
Turn on Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) to add a second layer of protection.
Click on your profile → Security
Click 'enrol MFA'
scan the QR code with your authenticator app (Google Authenticator, 1Password, Authy, etc.)
Copy the 6‑digit code from your authenticator app and enter it to confirm enrolment.
Add your first watchlist items
Watchlists tell Defendis what to look for. In few clicks, you can monitor domains, IPs, assets, executives, keywords, and payment card BINs.
Click on your profile → Watchlists, and click 'Add Indicator'
Fill in details (e.g., 'example.com'), then Save
Depending on your role, the item may be approved immediately or require Defendis manual Review.
Explore your data
To explore Dark Web data related to your organisation, head to one of our modules (e.g. Data Leaks, Exposure, or Ransomware). Start broad with no filters, then filter down. Click any row or card to open details and recommendations.
If your workspace tracks multiple domains, use the Domain selector (top‑right) to switch context. Most pages will automatically show data for the selected domain.
Share a quick report
In order to generate and share a report:
Navigate to Reports → Create Report
Choose a type, select a date range, pick an export format
Then click on export to generate your download your data.
Good to know: Some report types require selecting a specific watchlist item in order to be able to export the data.
